Since our establishment in 1987, CDI has been dedicated to providing services which protect the interests of Owners and exceed their expectations, while building the most design- and cost-efficient structures as possible.

After years of working for some of the nation’s leading construction companies, Nate Spells, a graduate of Clemson University, began his business in 1987, by offering construction services for small commercial projects,. Over the next two decades, CDI has grown to become a significant competitor in the local construction market. Our services include Design-Build, General Contracting, Construction Management at Risk, Construction Consulting, Pre-Construction, Program Management, and Construction Management.

CDI is headquartered in Columbia, SC with a second office in Charleston, SC. We are also licensed to work in North Carolina, Georgia, and Mississippi.
